The second Achewood cookbook, six years in the making, is a full-fledged, tested and re-tested new set of recipes, essays, and meditations on practical, (generally) unpretentious modern food. Whereas the first cookbook was basics for poorly equipped beginners, our latest “contribution” to the culinary arts is the next step forward: it assumes one has a bit of game in the kitchen. Even if one has no game in the kitchen, one will find it a cover-to-cover entertaining read, as all recipes and exposition are written in the voices of Achewood’s beloved band of unimportant drawings.
